It was a pleasure to come together again for the annual Healthcare&Technology Research Jam, this year under the theme of AlgorithmicOrganizing.
๐ We discussed 13 promising studies spanning AI and socialnetworks, emotion and expertise, platforms, storytelling, and sensemaking – across diverse settings such as radiology, mentalhealth, diabetes care, robotics, and surgery.
๐ A standout moment was the keynote by Ewen Harrison, reminding us why interdisciplinary collaboration is essential if we are to translate technological advances into meaningful societalbenefits.
๐ A special highlight this year was the new PhD session, where five early-career researchers from across Europe shared their evolving projects. It was a privilege to listen, offer feedback, and see the Jam become even more of a supportive space for development at all stages.
Grateful to Luciana D’Adderio, Neil Pollock, University of Edinburgh Business School, Usher Institute, The University of Edinburgh for hosting us so generously. And a heartfelt thanks to my brilliant colleagues Sylvaine Tuncer and Mohammad Hosein Rezazade Mehrizi – your energy and commitment make the Jam not just a workshop, but a real community. Looking forward to next year edition!
